New Life

Christ suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God -1 Peter 3:18

God doesn't need us.  We need him.  He gives us a whole new life through Jesus.  Who is Jesus?  Come find out.  It starts by simply listening to his word.  He does the rest.  The gospel (which means good news) is a powerful gift from God that changes lives.   Come see what we mean!

"He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewalby the Holy Spirit." -Titus 3:4

God makes clear that baptism is a precious washing with water and his word.   The Triune God puts his name on us in baptism and gives us new life.

The apostle Peter proclaimed "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call." (Acts 2:38-39)

Baptism is a free gift of God.  It brings the forgiveness of sins, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and new life through a miraculous rebirth.

How? The power lies in the word of God.

God tells us baptism is for all nations, including your children.

Trinity Lutheran Church's mission includes Jesus' command:  "Make disciples of all nations by baptizing." (Mt 28:18-19)

Baptisms at TLC are administered without cost and individuals are baptized either in the worship service or in a private setting.  If you have questions about baptism please contact us.

"From Christ the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." -Ephesians 4:16

Christians are described as joined together in a body.   We stand together to glorify God.   "You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood" -1 Peter 2:5

God provides spiritual leaders for his people:  "Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers..."  --Ephesians 4:11

Here is a brief look at some of the things God desires believers carry out together:
  • "Work together for the truth." -3 John 1:8
  • "Love one another"  -John 13:34
  • "Do not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another. " -Hebrews 10:25
  • "Devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching." 1 Timothy 4:13
  • "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another." -Colossians 3:16
  • "Declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. " 1 Peter 2:9

Before joining and supporting a church God tells us to test their teaching.  Learn what TLC teaches from Scripture.
  • Starting Point is a class that offers both a good introduction for those new to Christianity and a good review for others.
  • Other classes on Sundays or weekdays often meet with childcare and structured play time for your children.  Check to see if the current course indicates if it can also be taken toward membership.
  • Contact us to schedule a private session.
We desire that you can in good conscience say "Amen" with us in all things.  Then we can work together for the gospel in unity and peace.   If you, after careful study of the Word and prayer, are in agreement with what TLC teaches, we will joyfully recieve you into our membership. We can then begin to further "Work together for the truth." -3 John 1:8

"All of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers."  1 Peter 3:8

We all can fall into the sinful trap of separating ourselves from others.  It's easy to just disappear in today's world and not form real and lasting relationships with others.  Sure, you can foster connections through things like our facebook page.  But the community within our church goes even deeper than that.

The blessings within a Christian church include what the Scriptures call "fellowship."  It is a close bond formed by sharing in God's Word and his love.

Our fellowship means we are not alone.  We enjoy fellowship with God and with each other.
  • How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.  -Psalm 133
  • Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.  -Romans 12:8
  • Live in harmony with one another. …be willing to associate with people of low position. Romans 12:16
  • Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
  • Offer hospitality to one another.  1 Peter 4:9

Regular worship and Bible study helps bring us closer together through God's Word.

TLC also offers additional ways to get connected with others:
